San Francisco Emergency Management
The San Francisco Department of Emergency Management (SFDEM) manages and prepares for everyday and not-so-everyday emergencies. SFDEM dispatchers answer 9-1-1 when you call and the planners help you prepare for disaster and manage our response and recovery. The SFDEM team manages the homeland security priorities for the San Francisco Bay Area. DEM is organized into two divisions: Emergency Communications and Emergency Services. an Francisco is also the fiscal agent for the Bay Area Urban Area Security Initiative.
